Ami Shavit: In Alpha Mood
Services
Over three decades after it was produced, In Alpha Mood, the electro-acoustic album by Israeli conceptual artist Amichai (Ami) Shavit (born in Tel Aviv, 1934), began to generate a renewed interest which stood in stark contrast to the tepid reception it encountered when originally released, in 1977. In 2009, the album’s six tracks, were played throughout the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, during the city’s second contemporary art biennial exhibition. In 2011 it was digitalized and released in CD, and 2015 saw the album’s vinyl reissue alongside a digital download. This book examine the background to which In Alpha Mood was created.
